    Belated congratulations Kyt.

I have found this picture of Group Doctor Wing Commander John McGown who was mentioned earlier in this thread.

From left to right are, McGown, Group Captain Searby, and Marshal of the Royal Air Force, Lord Trenchard.

Boy ! that is belated David !!

I take it you're still looking for your Pathfinders ... after seeing you post a picture of Searby !! .......

found this one though it's well-known ..... it shows 'Honest John', Group Captain John Searby of 83 Squadron with five of his crew who led the famous Pennemunde Raid in August 1943. Searby ( 3rd from right ), who passed away in the 1980s, was one of the most famous Pathfinders. On Searby's left is his bomb aimer, George Ross DFC, who died over Berlin a short while after the photo was taken.

Thanks Annie. In the picture you posted, from left to right are,

F/L Forster, DFC, DFM. F/L Davies, DFC. S/L Scrivener, DSO, DFC. G/C Searby, DSO, DFC. F/L Ross, DFC. F/O Preece, C.G.M, DFM.

This is the "Master Bomber" crew from the Peenamude raid. Missing from the picture is F/L Coley. Perhaps Coley was the one taking the photgraph.
