Words fail me. Why in this country are we so willing to let down the people whose loyalty has never been questioned.

Just how far will this government stoop?

Which group of people have voted themselves a total pay package in excess of inflation rates?

Which group of people protected their own pension package whilst almost everyone else either has, or is in danger of, having their pensions decimated (not forgetting the blatant plundering of the schemes which has already occurred)?

There are just a few times when I am ashamed to be British - this is one of them!

If anyone hears details of a petition, please post them.

    Totally pathetic.

You would think, of all people and based on the book he's just released, Brown would have some understanding of who and what the Gurkhas are and the contribution they make to the country he runs.

This government just does not have a clue. Considering the way they are treating the Police at the moment, they seem determined to make enemies of those whom they depend on most, and who are not empowered to fight back by strikes etc.

Working in another public service organisation, the NHS, I often feel that we do our jobs despite Management and the Government, not with their support. And we don't out our lives on the line - not deliberately anyway.
