Mate their would of been men of all ages fighting in the Invasion and the following battles and all battles for that matter.
Their would of been thousands aged 18 and a lot of men under 18 who lied about their age and served as 15,16 and 17 y/o's. I had heard that the average age of a allied soldier in WW2 was 24 or 26 yo, but with millions of men in uniform all age groups would of been represented including older ages men well in to their 40's+ who were still Privates or Corporals. This included the allied army's.
Most 18 y/o's had to have their parent sign a release form.

Know of a 5th Cameron killed on 16th june, who landed 7th june.aged 18.
