You're Top Poster: #14   | 15th AF B-24 "All American" Hey all. I have been reading the Collings' Foundation website, and their B-24 was first painted in honor of a 15th Air Force B-24 called "All American", whose gunners shot down 14 enemy aircraft while on a mission over Germany on July 25, 1944. I am very interested in finding out what bomb group and squadron it was from, who were the crew on that record-breaking mission and what the target was. Any help will be appreciated!! ~ James

You're Top Poster: #1  | The aircraft was from 765th BS, 461st BG and was flown by Robert E Arbuthnot. The mission was to Linz. The aircraft serial was 42-78444. It was lost on 4th Oct 1944, when it was being used by a different crew.

You're Top Poster: #14 | Yeah, she's painted up as "Witchcraft", from the 467th BG, 8th AF. The original aircraft completed 130 missions during WW2.
