You're Top Poster: #10   | Yvan Thank you for posting these. I have visited some of these cemetaries, mainly Great War ones such as the Newfoundland Memorial and Thiepval, and they are very moving. I think every school should send their children on a trip to these cemetaries. The alphabetical listing seems to stop at Tr, so the largest of them all, Tyne Cot with its 12000 graves, does not seem to be there. The German cemetaries are more sombre, spooky even, using darker granite and with a greater use of mass graves. Adrian |
