I wanted to share with you, although you cannot get the real feel of it unless you are there. We actually went twice. The first time I met some WW2 R.E and they told me about their experiences on D DAY and D DAY 2. Great men. |

I asked a curious question about what it must be like down below as there is said to be nearly a thousand people burried under the cathedral. He told me that he had actually been down there and asked me over to see a book full of photos. It showed the crypt to be a huge area with arched ceilings. Bodies were like mummies without coffins. Lying in row after row. I couldn't get over it. |
