10,000

On behalf of Owen and myself, this is the 10,000th post.

Can't believe we've made it here since early September. Well done all, extremely well done.

When early September is truly taken into account it is quite a good number.

The thread ratio to posts would be envied by many fora as well!

You chose dishonor and you will have war."

(Winston Churchill made this prophetic pronouncement in a House of Commons speech in 1938, just after Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain signed the Munich agreement with Hitler. Chamberlain returned from Germany with the signed agreement in hand, proclaiming that "peace in our time" had been achieved. Churchill attacked Chamberlain's "politics of appeasement" in this and many other speeches.)

So, it's about 150 days so 66-67 posts per day and just over 10 threads per day. Also means average posts per thread is six so good discussions to be had!

71 hours later from the 10,000 mark and we are already 20% of the way into the next 1,000!

Not that I'm counting...

Wasn't just red ones, mate, it was the ability to tell the difference between a Kenworth, Scania, Mack etc from about 1 km away!

Still waiting on inspiration to post some worthy threads but can't devote enough time to it and when I do, can't find quality references so I give up!

aaawww diddums.... since when has the lack of references ever stopped a forum member posting... oh you mean you actually want to start informed and intelligent threads? Now that would be a novelty for a WW2 forum

I hope we don't make a habit of it

Not for this forum, it wouldn't be, mate!

Considering my contributions of late, cut and paste, I thought it might be a good idea!
