Hi Marcus,

Glad to see another familiar face.

Tell us about your likes and dislikes and your WW2 preferences for those newbies that come on board.

"You were given the choice between war and dishonor.
You chose dishonor and you will have war."

(Winston Churchill made this prophetic pronouncement in a House of Commons speech in 1938, just after Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain signed the Munich agreement with Hitler. Chamberlain returned from Germany with the signed agreement in hand, proclaiming that "peace in our time" had been achieved. Churchill attacked Chamberlain's "politics of appeasement" in this and many other speeches.)

What did the Australians do in ww2 and other conflicts? Check out this site:

I'm interested in the European theatre mainly, with the main focus on british and US airborne forces. Just beggining to read bits and bobs about the Pacific. The thing I cannot stand about WW2 is the politics of it all. I find it really boring. Just bought a new book, 'WORLD WAR TWO in photographs' which covers everything from the outbreak of war to the Atomic bomb. It's got some really good pictures and explanations of the individual battles, but before I can get to the good stuff, I have to endure reading about the politics which caused the war in the first place. Arrrgh, so hard to take in when it's boring.

Anyway, that's me.
