Does the U.S lose the war for the Pacific if they lose in Midway?

I do not believe this but there is a story that if the U.S loses at Midway we lose the war in the Pacific. I want to know if you believe this or not if you do tell why. I will set up a poll that way it is easier to tell if the people on this website think so or not. Kinda long

Whatever happened at Midway, the Americans would have eventually prevailed due to their sheer industrial might.

After Midway, in the next four years they produced 24 new aircraft carriers of the Essex Class alone. The Japanese only produced four or five, mainly conversions of other ships.

The US industrial might would have prevailed IMHO. Guadalcanal was the turning point for the Pacific war on land. Even during that period August - September 1942 there was only one US Aircraft Carrier in the whole Pacific theatre - Hornet!

The big naval battles were still to come!
