For anyone who seriously likes WW2 Cartoons I can thoroughly recommend "World War II in Cartoons" by Mark Bryant from which I have borrowed this lovely Giles Cartoon dated 19 August 1945. The text in the book reminds us that VJ Day and the end of WW2 were officially celebrated on the 2nd of September.
