Royal blackmailing.

If this is true wouldn't it have made more sense and been less risky (when you take into consideration the small sum of money invoved) to have approached the gutter press with this story?

I think you are right David they could have made a lot more and exposed themselves to less risk by going to the press, particularly abroad.

Still happier with this system than a President Blair though!

My first thoughts was that it was Prince Harry that was involved - no doubt trying to live up to his predessor Henry V or at least the shakespear version.

However, the BBC has said that it is a minor royal that is invovled.

I don't think those two statements are mutually exclusive

Probably Freddie Windsor. Again.

Glad to see the Royals living up to history and doing us proud again

Guess it does for me as I have no idea. Still my knowledge of who's who in the royal family is limited too.

According to Google News a name is being bandied around in internet chat rooms, none that I frequent!

Are we presuming the alleged is male?

According to the BBC many people will ask Who? when they hear the name, therefore it is a minor royal, one without a HRH title.

The royal has been identified as Viscount Linley!
