Back now - thanks for all your Best Wishes, most touching!

We like to think we are the sort of people who "do things" on holiday rather than lie by the swimming pool, but when we get out there, lying by the pool is precisely what we do. In 37 degree temperatures we didn't want to do much else except sleep and the beach is 15 minutes walk away. The girls would have spent the entire time in the swimming pool in the estate where our friend's house is, but I was blowed if we were going to go to Spain and not go to the beach, and they enjoyed it on the days we frog-marched them there. They certainly enjoyed it when we hired a pedalo - the most exciting thing we did - well it was the sort with a slide! Last time we went in October when it was cheaper and cooler, but now that our eldest is in secondary school we are tied to the hottest time of the year with the most expensive flights.

Good to have you back, Adrian. Sounds like a good holiday even if it was just soaking up the rays. Everyone needs a vegging holiday every so often.
