"You were given the choice between war and dishonor.
You chose dishonor and you will have war."

(Winston Churchill made this prophetic pronouncement in a House of Commons speech in 1938, just after Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain signed the Munich agreement with Hitler. Chamberlain returned from Germany with the signed agreement in hand, proclaiming that "peace in our time" had been achieved. Churchill attacked Chamberlain's "politics of appeasement" in this and many other speeches.)

Ah yes, the coffee beans that go through the digestive tract. Mmm, nutty...

Here's one for ya. Local police picked a guy up last night. He was doing 200km+ in a 100km zone, on his mobile/cell, over the limit and had a suspended licence!

£5.1m lotto winner sought over debt - Yahoo! News UK

Quote:
A Lottery winner who blew a £5.1 million jackpot he won three years ago is being hunted by bailiffs chasing more than £370,000 of debt.

The 55-year-old former Royal Artillery gunner, who won his fortune in February 2005, was working and living in a £15 a night guesthouse but staff at the Rooms Hotel said he had left and may have gone abroad.

Businessman Steve Hawken now owns Mr Kyle's former home which he bought for a knockdown £540,000 as a repossession.

He said since October when he moved into the property, which came with Jacuzzi, steam room, bar and snooker table, he has been inundated with letters from creditors and visits from bailiffs.

In the last six months bills of more than £370,000 were sent to the address.

The 40-year-old said he has written to 260 people to tell them Mr Kyle no longer lives there.

"I'm sick to death of bailiffs and other people knocking on the door for him," he said.

"I'm trying to run a business and this is day in day out."
How? Just how does one blow that much money so fast?

Especially since it would appear he has nothing to show for it...unless he's got something hidden overseas.

We in Scotland, have a lottery winner who spent something like 8 million in ten years! He is now having to go back to work in the local hospital, which he gave up when he win the lottery!

Silly boy. I guess the excitement just gets to winners and they seem to forget their new, lavish lifestyle will eat up their winnings...and there's no thought of putting some away and living off the interest.

The way the banking system works, they would need the services of a very good accountant in order to get the best interest rates. The ones with the highest rates, are bound by very strict rules about access tot he money!
