The Experiments

Josef Mengele albeit holding the most noteriety was not the only so called doctor that the SS used to carry out their experiments.

Names such as Brandt, Mozes, Kremer and others were also very much carrying out inhumane tests.

So to kick this new forum off I though I would just detail some of the experiments carried out in the camps.

Mustard Gas -

The effects of mustard gas in the battlefield were all to common death wounds were exposed to it, so SS doctors would inflict serious wounds on prisoners and the infect them with mustard gas, despite the intense pain suffered by most, many were allowed to simply die while being observerd.

Freeze tests -

This test was to establish the effects of being severly chilled or even frozen, the prisoners were kept in a tank of ice cold water for up to 3 hours, they would then be warmed up using various methods to see the results and chart the most effective. It was not uncommon for some to be left outside for hours naked to monitor the effects.

Typhus -

Many prisoners were infected with disease such as typhus and administered with new drugs to see the results, most often death was the result.

Autopsies -

It was all to common that victims would be infected with various types of poision that would kill them quite quickly so that autopsies could be carried out quickly to see the effects on the organs.

Just a few of the test but there were many more.
