Hi Andy,

Yes it's a quality operation. I believe that each aircraft has an original 1940s tailwheel.

It's also worth noting that they're tooling up on the P-51. I have a dream.............

Cheers

A couple of the long nose variant (bet taxying was a fun thing to do with no forward visibility !).

I believe that there are plans afoot at the moment to get a long nosed FW in the air using a V12 Alison and a much modified propellor reduction gearbox to sort out the CofG issue and provide the correct length of 'bonnet'. I'll see if I can dig out the article and confirm choice of engine. later on this week.

Yup, I wuz right !

The 'new build' 190 D is soon to go up in Florida. she's powered by a Allison V-1710. This airframe is one of three long nosed variants that will be built by Flug Werk.
