| I have mentioned it elsewhere but I think that even though the series was/is excellent for its use of original footage and interviews of the participants, the actual historical content was clouded by the politics of its time, and has been superceded by 30 years of further research and writings.
In a number of episodes I have found the statements and conclusions made then to be either inaccurate or plainly false.
However, the series has become so ingrained in peoples' consciousness that any critiscism of it is considered blasphemy. But as I said - great for the footage and some of the interviews.
