Keith Park got shafted too despite being popular with the pilots.

Having said that, he was then instrumental in the defence of Malta from July '42. Gallipoli and Somme veteran and then ace with 5 victories and many more probables. Not bad for a Kiwi! Got a soft spot for this fighter leader in case you can't tell!
