| At Alness, we used to do exercises with Shackletons, on the last one, a SAREX, the aircraft dropped the lindeholme gear right on top of the "survivor" a SARBE in a tupperware box in a singeseater dinghy. Had there been a injured man, then they would have been killed as the centre cannister landed right on top of the dingy!
But is nice to know that the men who lost their lives in the cause of freedom, will be remembered in the memorial.
