My dear wife bought me a digitally enhanced version of this movie the other day (so yes it does pay to master the kitchen for an evening) and so of course I was forced to watch it. I had seen it years ago, but it was great to see it again.

What I found as interesting as the movie was the separate DVD about the filming of the movie and how it almost bankrupted the studio. Back then, it cost US$ 25 million to make the movie .... but the incredible part was when they said that was FOUR TIMES the cost of the Japanese to actually carry out the attack on Peal Harbor. How the US and Japan worked together to make the film was as interesting as the movie itself. Watch it if you can get a copy.
