    BOB
    P/O R.F.G.Miller an Australian of No 609 Squadron was killed on the 27th of September 1940 at 11:45hrs. His Spitfire I (X4107) collided with a Bf 110 of ZG 26 near Kingcome in Dorset.

    Spitfire I, X4107, P/O R.F.G. Miller killed, collided head-on with Bf110 and exploded over Chesilbourne, near Kingcombe, main wreckage fell east of Doles Ash, 11.45 hrs.

    Rogers Freeman Garland Miller, and a photo from a film found in his camera after it was returned to the family. (Photos via Rogers' sister)

    Rogers' elder brother, John Garland Miller had lost his life on the 12th August 1940, whilst serving with No 149 Sqn.
    They seem to be both listed there and I do not have the second brother as his CWGC NOK did not mention Australia.

    T/O Hampstead Norris for circuit practice. At 11.05, while on the downwind leg of the circuit, the port engine burst into flames and shortly afterwoods the Wellington stalled and dived into the ground. Both pilots lie in Harwell Cemetery.
