The drawing is taken from my father's P.O.W. "Wartime Log." He and the artist Tich Lockyer were prisoners together.

Tich is depicting his own shoot down by Obfw Hermann Staege 2./LG 2
on 23 Feb. 1941. On this day Tich Lockyer was operating over Ostend with 1 PRU. He was flying Spitfire R6598.

Also attached with the sketch are a couple of pictures of Tich taken when he was a P.O.W.
    Hi David,
Because your drawing created so much interest, here is my rendition to save a little work by whoever would like.

Nice one Keith. Now Kyt can copy it and replace his three ducks with it.

    Hi David,
A couple more images that I found in my files, nicely detailed.

Beautiful shots of Shuttleworth's Mk V. John Dibbs at his best, I reckon.

    DefaultMalta Spifires.

    Hi All,
Has anyone out there got a good three view line drawing of the type of spitfire that was used over Malta with the large desert type air intake.
I'm busy building a 1/4 scale, but the inverted engine needs the extra room, to keep it hidden from view.

Particularly interested in a frontal view, have these to start with.

None seem to give a good frontal view.

    Cheers

    Hi Geoff,
Thanks for the pointer I am sure that if I join into the site forum, someone will help even if it's only, which are normally very good, a model 3. view.
    Forgot all about that site.

    Thanks
    Cheers

Default140 Sqn Spitfire PR Mk I Type G Spitfires

Thought that these pictures might interest some. Three Spitfire PR Mk I Type G showing the squadron letters for 140 Squadron. I am not able to identify each pilot specifically I'm afraid.

    Nick.

Nice one Nick, pity we can't identify the pilots.
