    DefaultExcavation of Hampden P1206

    http://www.wkdankbaar.nl/

    and the English version:
    http://www.wkdankbaar.nl/english.html

However, the Dutch site seems to contain more information, and updates. Babel seems to do a good job at translating it (just enter the url into the translate web page box, and choose Dutch to English)

    Not something you see everyday!

There is a restoration of a Russian recovery happening in East Kirkby, I think and the Canadian link below is a cosmetic resto using limited resources/parts.

The East Kirkby restoration is principally parts from the Swedish Hampden wreck found in 1976

You are spot on, BC1. RAF bomber forced to land on mountain Tsatsa - sorry to mislead, chaps.

I don't know where I was getting the Russian thing from. Ah, yes I do...P1344 recovered in Sept 91 for the RAFM. Peter Arnold pic. I've got this pic in an old FlyPast somewhere which is where I must have read it.
